It's easy because we do all the hard work. Simply complete your personalisation requirements for your order in the free text box. When checking out leave us a note with the required delivery day (note we need at least 48 hours notice for delivery, contact us if you require same day services). We'll prepare your parcel and send it for delivery for your chosen day.

Not a problem, pick up the phone and give us a call or contact us through the website or through social media channels. We are really flexible and you can often get us out of hours.

I've changed my mind about what I would like, can I change my order?"

Accepted Answer

Get hold of us at the earliest convienience to discuss ammendments to your order. As long as we havent started making it changes can be made easily.

I need to change delivery address

Accepted Answer

No problems just contact us and we'll update it. We are unable to alter shipping details once the order has left Nancy Loves however there are functions available with our courier to do this.
Please note Nancy Loves will only send to the address verified and we do not give instruction for parcels to be left in safe places or at addresses other that the addresses specified. Nancy Loves cannot accept any liability for lost parcels where instructions are provided to our courier to leave parcels in safe places or at another address than the item is addressed to.

How best to care for my balloons.

Don't worry, Nancy Loves include a Balloon Care Card with every order. But just in case you misplace it here is our advise.
 
Nancy Loves takes pride in using the best quality components for your display. To ensure you get the most enjoyment out of your balloons, please follow the guidance below;
 
1) Please keep balloons away from extreme temperatures, (hot or cold) and direct sunlight. Do not store balloons outside in a car or garage.
2) Protect from contact with sharp objects.
3) Never leave children unattended with balloons.
4) CHOKING HAZARD - please dispose of all broken balloon parts and strings immediately.
5) Please enjoy your balloons responsibly and do not release the outside, they can get caught in power lines, harm wildlife and cause litter.
6) BE LATEX ALLERGY AWARE - some balloons are made of natural rubber called latex which can cause a reaction in those with a latex allergy.

Is helium gas safe?

Helium is a naturally occurinng inert gas. In is widely used in industry and safe to release into the air once you have finished enjoying you balloon. 
 
However, you should never inhale helium gas.

Can I request a design for my mug.

Of course, most of our mugs are printed in house and our design team can work their magic with many different ideas, just ask.

Of course, we have our own workshop which mills our own timber and produces fine quality bespoke timber gifts. We only add a snapshot to the website contact us for your specific design requirements.

Question 10

What is your policy for missing or damaged parcels?

Accepted Answer

In the rare event that your parcel doesn't arrive, please let us know as soon as you can so we can investigate with our courier. If your parcel arrives damaged, please inform us within 48 hours of delivery to enable us to claim with our courier. Under extreme circumstances, we can request claims up to 28 days after delivery, after this point, we are unable to offer a replacement or refund in any circumstance.

Can we use your photographs?

Naturally all our images are protected by copyright belonging to Nancy Loves. We do not allow the use of any of our images except in the following circumstances.

Customers are free to use any of the images found in our disc, shape and prop sections under the condition that any image not protected by a Nancy Loves watermark is credited to Nancy Loves along with either a tag to our social media @nancyloveswholesale or a link to our website clearly marked each time the image is used.

Where we have credited other artists these images are not available for use without consent from the artist in question.

Images are not allowed to be altered or filtered in anyway from their original state.

Nancy Loves does not give permission without prior written consent for any image found outside of our Disc, shapes and prop section to be used, unless the image has been shared on our social media platforms and the tag to our social media page is clearly present.

Nancy Loves does not give permission for the use of our images on third party sale platforms such as EBAY, ETSY etc.

Hi do I order bespoke items, such as 3d lettering.

Accepted Answer

There are over 100,000 basic fonts available and variations in pictures and depictions are almost endless, it is very difficult for us to have set items and packages available on our website to covers all eventualities.

To help us provide the best service to you please contact us with your requirements. We will need to know colours, shapes and sizes, inspiration images are helpful however we cannot provide accurate quotations without size details. It is very difficult to guess sizes from a picture.

Are you open for collections at weekends.

We are closed for general collections at weekends, our offices are closed and phonelines are not manned at weekends. 
We can arrange collections via prior agreement however this is dependant on our weekend event schedule.

What are your opening hours

Generally we are available between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday at our Leicestershire depot. However on some occasions we may need to facilitate local deliveries, collections or attend event setups so it is best to give us a call before travelling to see us.

Please note this does not effect event bookings which may be evenings and weekends also, naturally dependant on your requirements.

How to care for and paint my props

Nancy Loves are proud to provide some of the best props available. All our large props benefit from Moisture resistant mdf. Proper care of your prop is essential to keeping it looking its best for longer.

All our MDF comes with the following certifications:

CE
The CE mark (from the French, ‘Conformité Européan’) is intended to promote the free movement of products within the EU by showing that essential health and safety requirements have been met.
FSC®
The FSC® product label allows consumers worldwide to recognise products that support the growth of responsible forest management. In an increasingly environmentally aware marketplace many demand the FSC® mark on their wood products: with West Fraser it comes as standard.

Preparation and Painting

If any part of your prop is to be inserted in rebated bases this must be completed prior to application of any paints.

Step 1: Preparing The MDF

Sand the edges using a 120-grit sandpaper.
If the edges are going to be seen, use some wood filler on the edges and sand them down once it’s dry to make them totally smooth.
Rippled profiles will cause some furring during milling and can be managed by proper painting process.

Step 2: Priming the MDF

Load up a fluffy paint roller with a water-based primer and undercoat. 
Make sure to coat both sides of the MDF in primer as this avoids the MDF bending because of moisture absorption. (Please note we are unable to provide warranty for any prop which hasn't been sealed on all sides and edges prior to top coat in any circumstances.)
For edges and ripple profiles, sand lightly in between two coats of primer to control furring. A painting guide can be found in our Instagram highlights.

Step 3: Sanding Between Coats

After the primer dries, lightly sand the surface with fine 180-grit sandpaper to remove any imperfections and prepare it for the top coat.

Step 4: Apply The Second Coat Of Primer

Once the primer is dry, apply another coat as MDF is highly absorbent and needs two or more coats to be fully prepared for painting. 
Sand the surface once the second coat is dry with some fine grit sandpaper.

Step 5: Applying the Top Coat

Pour some high quality paint into a paint tray or paint scuttle.
Load up a fluffy, long pile roller with paint and roll it over the surface, making sure to fully cover both sides of the MDF and coating thoroughly to avoid streaks.

Step 6: Final Coating and Finishing

After the first coat dries and is ready to be recoated according to the manufacturer's guidelines, lightly sand the surface again to remove any imperfections such as paint streaks. 
Use the paint roller to apply a second coat of paint, and wait for it to dry.
Depending on the colour, you may need a third coat.

Storing your props

Store your MDF sheets horizontally where possible.
Keep MDF clear of the ground.
Use a minimum of three supports.
Use a polythene sheet on wet ground.
Keep the edges of MDF sheets flush.
Keep your MDF somewhere dry and well ventilated.

Straightening bent mdf props

MDF is less likely to warp compared to natural wood types such as Pine. However, MDF is only moisture-resistant, and it is not waterproof. So, MDF will soak up water, (just like natural wood), if it hasn’t been sealed on all sides, naturally painting is the number one cause of moisture. Failing to seal your prop on all sides prior to painting will mean your prop may start to warp straight after painting. As mdf soaks up water it will expand and contract, causing it to bow and curve. Storing mdf in damp containers, garages or sheds will make this problem worse.

Note MDF is a natural product despite its engineered appearance, it will behave in a natural way and the conditions it is subjected to will change through seasons.

If your prop starts to warp you can counter this by leaning it against a wall with a suitable weighted brace against it. If you have space laying it flat on the floor with a weight is even better.

Always check the condition of your prop before use, excessive moisture will impair the props structural stability.

What is the difference between acrylic, PERSPEX(R) and foamed PVC PALIGHT(R)?

Acrylic and foamed PVC are both popular materials used in home decor, each with its own unique characteristics. Acrylic is a high-quality, durable material that is known for its transparency and glossy finish. Widely used in point of sale displays and signage Perspex is the brand of choice with all acrylic often being referred to by this name. It is often used for items such as sleek, modern photo frames, decorative shelves, and furniture pieces. Additionally, acrylic is lightweight and resistant to breakage, making it an ideal choice for modern and minimalist decor styles.

On the other hand, foamed PVC, also known as expanded PVC, is a versatile material that offers a matte finish and a lightweight, rigid structure. It is often used for creating decorative wall panels, signage, and 3D wall art. Foamed PVC is easy to work with, making it a great choice for DIY projects. Our choice of foamed PVC is Palight(R). Free Foam and Celuka are the two predominant types of PVC foam board manufacturing technologies. While both of them have been available for some time, Palram favors the Free Foam method as it produces a more consistent density throughout PALIGHT PVC panel.
The cellular structure of the panel’s core is dense and, if manufactured to Palram’s high standards, does not contain voids or large air bubbles. Celuka PVC typically has a less dense core structure but has a harder “skin” on the outer surface which can sometimes result in chipping when cut.
